Sarah has a Masters in Cultural and Media Studies from the Open University and a BA(Hons) in Social Anthropology with Spanish from the University of Sussex. She has worked in editorial and communications roles within healthcare for over four years.

Victoria Gill
Victoria Gill has a BSc in Neuroscience from Edinburgh University and is currently studying for an MSc in science communication at the University of the West of England. She works as a communications intern for the European Science Foundation.

Terry Hammond has worked for rethink for 16 years His son developed Schizophrenia 4 years ago.

Dr Peter Hayward
Dr Hayward is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust in London and is an Honorary Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry.

Susan Hodgson
Susan has been a member of Linc-Up for over 3 years, a reference group for service users and carers. Susan is studying for a degree in Psychology with the Open University.

Mary Jones
Mary Jones is a retired charity Development Manager. As well as being a carer Mary now works as a volunteer fundraiser for a mental health charity.

Roger Jones is a retired teacher. He has been a Rethink member for 15 years and sits on many local committees.

Dr Jones is Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester and Honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Birch Hill Hospital in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Dr Sri Kalidindi
Sri Kalidindi is a Clinical Research Worker and Honorary SpR, interested in the neuroimaging and genetics of psychiatry, particularly the mood disorders.

Professor Tony Kendrick
Professor Kendrick has been a GP for 14 years. He is Professor of Primary Medical Care at the University of Southhampton. He still practices in a local surgery, as well as teaching medical students and researching mental health problems in general practice.

Elizabeth Kuipers is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry and holds an Honorary Post as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in one of the Community Adult Mental Health Teams of the South London and Maudsley Trust. She is currently leading the development of the Mental Health Care website (from August 2007).

Dr Lam is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Pscyhiatry and an Honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust in London.

Wendy Maphosa
Wendy Maphosa was a Carers' & Families' Nurse Specialist at the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust until 2007. She worked with carers for the over 7 years and was involved in carer initiatives within and outside the Trust.

Dr Bruce Moore
Dr Moore graduated in Medicine at Liverpool University in 1993. He has trained in general psychiatry in Liverpool and in neuropsychiatry at the National Hospital for Neurology in London. He is currently involved in full-time research into severe mental illness, and teaches psychiatry.

Caroline Moran
Caroline Moran was Web Editor of the Mental Health Care website from 2003 to March 2007. Caroline has a Masters with Distinction in Electronic Publishing from City University and a BSc in Biology from the University of Manchester.

Professor Robin Murray
Robin Murray is professor of psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, and consultant psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital.

Margaret Newman
Margaret Newman works in further education, training students in the childcare and education sector. She is a member of Rethink and is keen to change attitudes towards mental health.

Sara Roberts is a teacher currently working with young people excluded from mainstream education due to emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Jenny Ronayne
Jenny Ronayne is the Child Mental Health Worker on the Autism and Related Disorders Clinic (ARD) Team at the Michael Rutter Centre. Jenny runs a course on Autism Spectrum Disorders for parents who have recently received a diagnosis of ASD for their children, advises adult patients with ASD and parents and schools on management issues concerning individuals with ASD.

Hazel Ruane is a retired teacher. She has been a member of Rethink for seventeen years and has been co-ordinator of the mid-Essex Rethink Carers' Support Group for the past twelve years.

Kath Ryan
Kath Ryan is a retired teacher. She has been a member of Rethink since 1996.

Sharmila Sengupta
Sharmila Sengupta is a housewife and mother. She lives in London.

Rosalind Smith has been a housewife and carer for the last ten years. Previously she worked in alternative health care.

Dr George Szmukler
Dr Szmukler is a consultant psychiatrist and Chair of the King's Health and Society Network at the Institute of Psychiatry. He was also Dean of the Institute of Psychiatry from 2001-2006. Dr Szmukler has worked with carers to establish and evaluate support programmes.

Rosie Taylor is a registered dietitian. She has an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College, and works as an assistant editor for a medical journal.

Ashlea Taylor helps facilitate a self-help group for people with eating disorders. She has been a member of Rethink for two years and recently became involved with local carers services.

Joanna has worked within the field of online communications for the past five years. Prior to setting up her own business, she worked as web manager for a leading thinktank, as an interactive communications specialist in a PR agency and as a corporate communications consultant.

Pat Tucker
Pat Tucker has worked in Social Services for the last 25 years, with the last 15 years spent in the area of psychiatry.

Dr Lucia Valmaggia
Dr Valmaggia is a Clinical Psychologist at the Institute of Psychiatry. She is the Team Co-ordinator of OASIS.

Madeleine Vose
Madeleine Vose is a support worker with women with mental illness and has had psychosis. She is keen to share the message that it is possible to recover from mental illness and be happy.

Professor Greg Wilkinson
Professor Wilkinson gradutated in Medicine at Edinburgh University and trained as a psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital in London. He is Professor of Liaison Psychiatry at the University of Liverpool where he has responsibility for patient care, teaching medical students and undertaking research on mental health problems. Professor Wilkinson is the editor of the British Journal of Psychiatry.

Robin Wilkinson
Robin Wilkinson is a freelance science journalist. She holds a BSc in Genetics from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London.
